There was glorious weather for the two guided bird watching walks at the Friends Cafe Day on Sunday 23rd of April led by Mike Smethurst and Sue Parker. Both walks saw plenty of different birds including the Park’s resident kingfisher.

  

 

The weather helped make the Cafe Day another success for the Friends with the number of visitors exceeding all expectations. Thanks to everyone who attended and special thanks to Mike and Sue for giving their time and knowledge to make the bird walks so enjoyable.

The raffle prize winners were as follows:- Barbeque set – Julie Peech, Plant and chocolates – Mike Rudd, Thorntons chocolates – M Simmon, Towels and mugs – Barbara, Body set – Val Burrows
