The Meet the Sheep event contributed towards making the March Cafe Day a huge success for the Friends. Several families enjoyed the opportunity of getting close to the Jacob’s sheep with lots of encouragement from farmers Roy Nixon and Graham Stepney. Thanks to both Roy and Graham for all their hard work and giving the visitors such interesting facts about the sheep.

  

Despite some cool and blustery weather there was another big turnout in the Visitors Centre with the homemade cakes and soup selling well.

The raffle prize winners were as follows – Plant – Graham Stepney, Easter Egg – Marion Brassington, Port and cheeseboard – Margaret Miller, Place mats – Vera Rose, Diffuser – Julie Hibbert.
