Successful tombola at September Cafe Day

October 04, 2018 − by Admin − in Uncategorized − 1 Comments

Despite an awful weather forecast there was a good turnout at the Friends Cafe Day on the 23rd of September and the tombola organised by Eileen Blades raised £250  for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Due to the poor forecast the performance by the City of Sheffield Pipe Band was cancelled, but pebble painting with Kate Taylor went ahead in the Visitors Centre and proved to be very popular with young visitors.

Raffle prizes were won as follows:-

Plant – George Davis, Red wine – Sue Turner, Body Lotion – C. Windle, Chocolates – P. Abson, Mugs – K. Oldfield

  1. Thanks to everyone who has supported my fundraising for Guide Dogs for the Blind over the last two years at the friends group cafe days.
I have now started to raise funds for the RSPCA which gives support to all wildlife and domestic pets, a great charity which I hope you will help me and give me your support please.
I will be at the cafe days as usual with some nice items and little gift ideas and hope to see you there.
Thanks again for your support ☺
