The Friends Voluntary Rangers team enjoyed some lovely Spring weather at their February working day and carried out refurbishment of the bird feeding area at the bird hide near the Visitors Centre. The old feeders were removed and new posts fixed in place. New steps were built to give better access for keeping the feeders stocked with food, with expert help from the Park Manager Kevin Burke.
The Voluntary Rangers also filled the new boat planter in The Spillway, which had been rescued by ranger John Jackson after being vandalised recently. This is a new feature in the Park and has been kindly donated by Ulley Sailing Club. Bulbs and flowers will be added to the planter soon.
