Wickersley Northfield Primary School had a project to promote the best places to be proud of in Rotherham and the Year 6 pupils chose Ulley Country Park as their special place.
On Wednesday 11th of July they had a visit to the Park to discover the variety of wildlife, plants and amenities present in the Park. Chair of the Friends, Bobbie Hillman, gave them a presentation on the history of the park, including a description of the Great Flood of 2007 which enhanced the work that the children had carried out previously at school.
The weather was superb and the two classes enjoyed Ann’s Wildlife Trail together with carrying out photography, art and writing projects.
We hope this will encourage them to visit again in the future.
