This is a report from Dan Sidley after his visit to Ulley to treat two swans found injured in the park last Saturday. A lot of people have been upset by this attack and made a significant amount of donations to Yorkshire Swan Rescue at our Cafe Day. The donations will be passed on to Dan when he returns with the Swans when they have recovered.

We were called early this morning to Ulley, after both parent swans were found bleeding, requiring subsequent x-rays and veterinary treatment. We have reason to suspect the birds may have been deliberately targeted, given their injuries. The family are now recovering in the care of our hospital, where treatment continues.
