The Friends held an art event at the Cafe Day on Sunday 21st of August for young children and many youngsters showed great talent in drawing and colouring pictures of birds. Members of the Rotherham Society of Artists, led by Joan Knight, gave help and guidance to the children.

The Cafe was well attended once again despite some cool and breezy weather. Thanks to everyone who came along and made the day so successful. In particular the Friends would like to thank Joan, Mary and Joan for giving their time and expertise in a very enjoyable art event.

The raffle prizes were won as follows,    Plant – Colin Allen, Bath set – Georgia Wood, Tea towels – Kathie Hall, Wine – Eric Duke, Chocolates – Harrison Wood
