The Friends held the annual Working Day on Saturday 2nd of July to carry out some maintenance tasks in the Park and, although the weather was a bit showery  a hardy band of volunteers managed to give the Park a  bit of a tidy up, particularly the flower beds and car park by the Visitors Centre.

Areas of ponding by the gates from Reservoir Road were filled in, picnic tables treated and the Friend banner erected before rain halted the days work early.

Big thanks to all the people who turned up to help and keep the Park looking attractive.

On the 100th Anniversary of the Somme there was also a display of self seeded poppies in the garden at the Visitors Centre!
