The weather forecast of a heatwave certainly reduced the number of visitors at the July Cafe Day. Although the temperature did rise considerably during the day the air conditioning in the Visitors Centre kept the building cool for customers and staff.
There was an enthusiastic audience for the last ever performance by Break Out Arts of their epic production “The Adventures of Ollie of Ulley and the Strange Metal Giraffes” in The Spillway. Thanks to Karen Mulcahey who wrote and directed the play, which has been enjoyed by all the audiences, together with the cast of Ollie, Rachel Rabbit, Farmer Frank and the villain Arthur Brick. We hope they will return to perform another play in the future.
