A new seating area has been created in the Park at the end of the Morthen Arm near to the Russ Howes Bird Hide. Two benches have been installed  beside the Barbara Littlewood Bird Table and the area cleared of nettles to create a pleasant site to sit and enjoy the view up the reservoir.

 

In addition, a new bench has been installed further along the path round the reservoir with a good view towards the road bridge.

The benches have been partly funded through a grant from the Banks Community Fund and were installed at a working day held by the Rotherham Metro Ramblers. Thanks to everyone who helped create this great addition to the amenities of the Park.
